Trip of Amsterdan

With the footsteps of early spring, University for Creative Art organized a trip to Amsterdam for the students of the International Foundation and GDAD to visit and study here.

When it comes to Amsterdam, the first thing that comes to mind is the port and the art. There are too many artists born here. At the beginning of the trip, we visited the ultra-modern art gallery built along the port waterway. This gallery covers the whole history of film and plenty of well-known international movies. The exhibition hall also displays the works of surrealist by Jan Svankmajer across a variety of media, as the creative art university insists on the exploration of new forms of works.

The famous Foam Photography Museum in Amsterdam is our next place which displaies a lot of contemporary and well-known photography artworks, however my favorite galleries are the Dutch National Museum and the Van Gogh Museum in the heart of Amsterdam. National Museum displayed most of the works of Rembrandt who is one of the greatest painters in the Netherlands, the representative painter of European Baroque paintings. The delicate floating sketch lines, light feeling, and the oil paintings with strong visual deeply attracted me.

The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is most important place of the trip. We have seen many of his works from the internet and books, but when you really appreciate his paintings face to face, you can feel the gorgeous colors. The last art work in Van Gogh's life "The Raven of the Wheat Field" was showed here. When cherishing his short life, we even admire the 900 oil paintings and 1,100 sketches created during his ten-year painting career. This dedication to art has also left a very strong stroke in our hearts.

When we have completed the daytime visit, the students draw our sketchbook at the hotel. We made a lot of investigations and research of the exhibitions, artworks and artists that we saw during the day.The tutors of University for Creative Art always make focus on the academic research, and this is also the most importance of this trip.

In addition to learn, the toturs of the University of Creative Art shared their artistic views and study abroad advice to us during this trip to let us study excellent in our study abroad career. Although the international class students come from all over the world, in University for Creative Art, we are like-minded friends. Students of different skin colors studyed together, played together, and had a long talk to each other. It is the best feel for us who are far away from our country.A broader understanding of art, a deeper exploration of cultural history, a more rigorous attitude towards learning, and a deep friendship for Western and international students are the youthful travels that the University of Creative Art wants to give to us.
